لاہور ہائیکورٹ نے انٹرنیٹ سروس اور سوشل میڈیا پابندی کے خلاف درخواست پر فریقین کو 22 مئی کے لئے نوٹس جاری کرتے ہوئے جواب طلب کرلیا۔جمعہ کو لاہور ہائیکورٹ کے جسٹس عابد عزیز شیخ نے انٹرنیٹ سروس اور سوشل میڈیا پابندی کے خلاف ایڈووکیٹ محمد اعجاز خان کی درخواست پر سماعت کی۔درخواست میں وفاقی حکومت، پی ٹی اے سمیت دیگر کو فریق بنایا گیا ۔درخواست میں موقف اختیار کیا گیا کہ عمران خان کی گرفتاری پر ملک بھر میں انٹرنیٹ سروس معطل کر دی گئی، انٹرنیٹ سروس معطل کرنا بنیادی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی اور قانون کے منافی ہے، ٹویٹر،فیس بک اور یوٹیوب سمیت دیگر سوشل میڈیا ایپس کو بند کر دیا گیا۔درخواست میں استدعا کی گئی کہ عدالت ملک بھر میں انٹرنیٹ سروس اور سوشل میڈیا ایپس بحال کرنے کا حکم دے۔
